Vigorous exercise strengthens the heart and increases stamina, which allows you to perform faster and longer in the bedroom. Exercises like yoga and pilates increase flexibility and core strength so you can stretch into interesting new positions. Resistance training (weights) increases strength, which means you can support your partner and/or your own body weight. Exercise also has mental health benefits decreasing stress, anxiety and depression and, as a result, increasing libido.
Lastly, a healthy diet will also amp up your libido but there are certain foods in particular that will fuel your sex drive. These include safron, bananas, asparagus, sirloin steak, oysters and vanilla.
On the flip side, the use of illicit drugs, alcohol, caffeine and smoking have a negative effect on libido, as do poor mental heath, some medicines, disease, obesity, heart burn and pretty much anything that puts you in a foul mood.
